MOVEMENT + RECOVERY THERAPY

WHERE RECOVERY MEETS RELIEF

THE APPROACH.

Caleigh offers therapeutic, assessment-led bodywork designed to address pain, movement restriction, overload, and recovery at the root cause. Each session begins with a functional assessment to understand how your body moves, compensates, and holds stress. Treatment is guided by this assessment and tailored to the individual, rather than following a fixed routine.

When we say movement, we don’t mean exercises. We mean how your body holds itself day to dayposture, tension, stress, and physical load – and how that affects how you move and feel.

THE WORK.

Sessions may include a combination of deep tissue and remedial techniques, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, acupressure-based work, and slower integrative techniques. These approaches support recovery, nervous system regulation, and more sustainable movement patterns. Where appropriate, subtle movement or postural guidance may be included to support longer-term outcomes, reduce recurrence, and improve overall physical resilience.

The focus is targeted, outcome-driven work – supporting pain reduction, recovery, and sustainable movement – while leaving you feeling calmer, lighter, and more functional in your body. Most clients notice improved mobility, reduced tension, and a calmer nervous system after a session, with benefits building over time.

The body stores stress, load, and injury patterns long after the original trigger is gone.

This is not a spa or relaxation massage. The focus is targeted, outcome-driven work that supports sustainable movement, pain reduction, and long-term physical resilience.

Support for the body through pregnancy – and the recovery that follows.

A therapeutic, assessment-led session designed to support the body through the physical demands of pregnancy – and the recovery that follows.

Carrying a baby changes everything: the way you hold yourself, the way you move, and the way your body absorbs load. Whether you’re navigating the progressive postural shifts of pregnancy or the relentless physical demands of early motherhood – feeding, lifting, carrying, and rarely putting them down – the body accumulates tension in predictable and often overlooked places. Each session begins with a functional assessment to understand how the body is moving, compensating, and holding load – and treatment is guided from there.

BEST FOR:

  • Pelvic girdle or lower back pain
  • Shoulder & upper back tension from feeding or carrying
  • Rib and thoracic restriction
  • Hip and glute overload
  • Fatigue or nervous system dysregulation after birth

TREATMENT TIME: 90 Minutes

HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT TO A STANDARD MASSAGE?

Caleigh works from an MSc in Physiological Sciences, and it changes what actually happens in the room. Before any hands-on work starts, she reads how you move – where you’re compensating, what’s overloaded, what’s actually driving the tension rather than just where you feel it. That’s the difference between someone working out a knot and someone who understands why it’s there in the first place, and treating the cause instead of chasing the symptom. If it’s chronic tension, recurring pain, or old strain that keeps coming back no matter how many massages you’ve tried, this is where that depth of understanding actually pays off.

HOW WILL I FEEL AFTERWARDS?

Most people leave feeling looser and noticeably calmer – some describe it as the best they’ve felt in years. It’s normal to feel a bit tender the next day, similar to a solid training session, especially if the work targeted an old or stubborn area. Drink plenty of water afterwards – the sustained pressure encourages lymphatic drainage, & water is what allows your body to carry that waste away properly. Keeping your intake up for the next day or two helps the tissue settle, recover & hold the changes we’ve made.

WHAT DOES THE FASCIA WORK ACTUALLY DO?

Fascia is the connective tissue wrapping every muscle in your body, and it tightens under repetitive strain, old injuries, or just years of training and desk-bound posture. A tight spot in one place often refers pain somewhere else entirely – a trigger point in the shoulder can cause headaches, a restriction in the glutes can mimic sciatica down the leg. Releasing it isn’t just relief in the moment – it restores movement and takes pressure off the areas compensating around it.

CAN THIS HELP WITH AN OLD INJURY?

Yes – this is one of the areas it’s built for. Fascia can stay tight and adhered around old injuries and scar tissue long after the original event, even when scans come back clean. Myofascial work targets exactly that: restrictions that don’t show up on imaging but still limit how you move.

I HOLD A LOT OF STRESS AND TENSION – WILL THIS ACTUALLY MAKE A DIFFERENCE?

It’s one of the more noticeable effects. Slow, sustained pressure shifts your nervous system out of fight-or-flight and into a genuinely restful state – the same reason people often leave feeling calmer, not just looser. Stress and physical strain get stored in the same tissue, which is part of why this works on both at once.
